My Story

IT infrastructure first. AI integration second.

My career started in the trenches of IT — configuring networks, managing Microsoft 365 tenants, hardening security environments, and delivering infrastructure projects for businesses across the UK. That background isn't incidental to what I do now. It's the reason I do it differently.

When I founded Utilis Technologies, I'd spent years watching businesses struggle to get value from technology — not because the tools weren't good enough, but because they were bolted on without understanding the environment they were landing in. Too many AI projects fail for exactly the same reason.

I work differently. Every AI solution I design is built with governance, data handling, and real-world IT constraints considered from day one — not as an afterthought. If you're running Microsoft 365, I already understand your environment before the first call.

The result is AI that actually gets deployed, used, and delivers measurable value — not a proof of concept that sits in a folder.

AI that bypasses your security posture isn't a solution — it's a liability. Every integration I build respects your existing controls, data boundaries, and compliance obligations.

No solutions looking for problems

I start with your workflows, not with technology. If AI isn't the right answer for a particular process, I'll tell you. The goal is genuine business value, not impressive demos.

Build on what you already have

Most businesses have more capability in their existing Microsoft 365 stack than they realise. I prefer to extend and enhance rather than introduce unnecessary new tools and vendors.

Outcomes over outputs

A working integration that nobody uses is a failed project. I stay involved through adoption, measure what's actually changed, and iterate until the value is real and measurable.
